Man Accused of Paying Underage Girls for Sex

More allegations have surfaced against a Mercer County man who was arrested last May for allegedly attempting to sexually assault a 14-year-old girl. Adam Carnevale, 27, of Lawrence Township, is now accused of paying money to at least six underage girls in exchange for sex.

“Shocking,” said Carnevale’s neighbor, Shalom Levin. “That’s the only thing to say. Shocking.”

According to police, Carnevale repeatedly paid the girls money, clothes, alcohol and cigarettes for sex. Investigators say the six victims ranged in age from 12 to 17.

Carnevale allegedly found his victims through social media sites such as Facebook. After Carnevale found the 12-year-old victim he immediately asked her if she wanted to perform oral sex on him for cash, according to police.

Police also say he threatened to put a 15-year-old girl’s nude photographs on the Internet if she didn’t perform oral sex on him.

Carnevale allegedly gave the girls $40 to $60 per encounter and would often have sex with the girls in parking lots and even inside his parent's home.

Carnevale was arrested last May by Falls Township Police after he allegedly tried to sexually assault a 14-year-old girl. The new allegations against him surfaced while he was in prison.

Carnevale remains in jail on a $1 million bond. Police continue to investigate whether more victims are out there.
