A man was in extremely critical condition Sunday morning after police say he was struck by a car in Roxborough.
Police said the 26-year-old man was walking on Henry Avenue near Gates Street shortly before 3:40 a.m. when a vehicle struck him, badly injuring him. Police said the striking vehicle stayed at the scene.
Southbound Henry Avenue from Gorgas Lane to Gates Street was shut down as police investigated the crash. The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital in extremely critical condition.
