Wilmington police said a 22-year-old man was shot during an apparent robbery attempt.
Police said the man was shot in the knee and arrived at Christiana Hospital Saturday afternoon after being driven there in a private vehicle.
After a preliminary investigation, police believe the man was shot while walking in the area of 8th, North Spruce and Taylor streets. Police said a man walked up to the victim and demanded money before shooting the victim in the knee.
Police said they didn't get any calls about shots having been fired in the areas.
