Makeshift Ice Cream Truck was Really a Drug Mobile: Cops

It looked like an ice cream truck, but police say it had drugs, needles and syringes inside and was riding through neighborhoods in Somerset, Pa.

Police say they found suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia in a makeshift ice cream truck after parents complained about the suspicious vehicle.

Somerset police say the van with hand-painted spots was stopped Monday afternoon following complaints from parents. Inside officers say they found drugs, needles, syringes and a tourniquet.

Authorities say the truck was a white cargo van that had been re purposed to hand out icy treats. The vehicle's suspicious appearance prompted parents to call police.

Investigators say the driver faces charges.
