A Delaware woman was arrested after she allegedly stole from the same home she was hired to clean.

On June 22, police began investigating a reported theft at a home in the Wellington Hills community in Hockessin, Delaware. The homeowner told police he suspected his maid, later identified as Jacqueline Cuomo, 45, was stealing from his home.

The alleged victim told police Cuomo began working as his maid in January 2012 and that he began to notice things missing in his home over time. These items included prescription medication, jewelry and cash, according to investigators. Police say they later learned Cuomo pawned items at a local pawn shop between April and June and that some of those items belonged to the victim.

Cuomo was arrested last Thursday and charged with felony theft. She was arraigned and released on $2,000 unsecured bond and ordered to have no contact with the victim.
