Long-Defunct Restaurant Space Reopening Along Camden's Cooper River

In less than two weeks, Camden County residents will get a new restaurant along the banks of the Cooper River, which will be run by a restaurateur who's had skin in the Philadelphia culinary scene for decades. (See photo gallery for the work in progress.)

The restaurant property at Cooper River Park in Camden – the soon-to-be home of The Cooper House – has been defunct for nearly three years. The Lobster Trap closed in 2013 following the death of operator Tom Delimaris, leaving the 500,000 annual visitors to the park without a year-round dining destination during major events like last year's USRowing Masters National Championships, the organization's largest event.
