The hair gel and fake tans are back. Fresh off their visit to Italy, Snooki, J-Woww, Pauly D, The Situation and friends returned to Seaside Heights, N.J.
The New York Post reports that the Jersey Shore Cast were seen in the popular shore town on Sunday as filming of the show's fifth season began. Photographs appeared across the internet over the weekend of the gang lounging around the famous balcony of their famous shore house.
London’s Daily Mail reported that neighbors complained about a helicopter that was allegedly chartered by MTV after it flew very low right over their roofs throughout the day. Police are investigating, but the newspaper reports that many locals thought a major terrorist incident was occurring.
On Friday, rumors swirled that MTV was planning on re-casting the show after the fifth season wrapped up later this summer, because the contracts for the series' cast members were becoming too costly. However, MTV told Entertainment Weekly that they loved the present cast.
“Their summer adventures have just begun. We have no plans to recast the show," they told Entertainment Weekly.
Earlier this month, MTV announced that the show's fourth season, which featuring the cast’s trip to Italy, will debut in early August.
