Former Berks Co. Principal Facing Sex Charges

Franklin Love allegedly had a physical relationship with a 17-year-old student.

The former principal of a southeastern Pennsylvania Christian school faces sex assault charges for allegedly carrying on a physical relationship with a student.

Former Berks Christian School principal Franklin Love surrendered to police on Monday and was arraigned on charges including institutional sexual assault and corruption of minors.

Investigators say Love had sexual contact with a 17-year-old girl who was a student at the school. Authorities say the affair was discovered after another student spotted text messages Love sent the girl during class.

Love resigned shortly after the alleged assaults came to light last month.

Love's attorney declined comment following his arraignment. County detectives say Love has admitted the relationship.
