Local Charter Bus Service Shuts Down

The Mr. Ho bus service has been ordered by the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) to cease all operations because of multiple violations.

The service, which is based in Bethlehem, Pa, has been under close supervision after they were cited on June 7, 2011. The company was cited because they failed to carry out random alcohol tests for their drivers.

This citation caused the company to be on probation period for 45 days.

“Safety is my top priority and any behavior that puts the traveling public at risk will not be tolerated”, said U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood

Recently a Mr. Ho coach bus was involved in a fatal car crash. The wreck happened on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The driver was injured as well as 24 passengers. Tragically the co-driver was killed.

The cause of this crash is still under investigation by federal authorities.

Those two drivers were hired by the company with falsified records. They were found not to have taken federally mandated pre-employment tests, according to fmcsa.dot.gov.
