    Indigo Schuy

Chic apparel store Indigo Schuy has earned a reputation for their products after being nominated as the best in sporting goods on the Philly Hotlist this year.

However, owner, Schuyler Nunn, is always looking to take her business model one step further by teaming up with other businesses for a good cause.

On Tuesday, Indigo Schuy will be hosting a 'Kick Off Party' with the Rock 'n" Roll Philadelphia Half Marathon organizers. In addition, an information session will be held for the "Rock and Roll your way to a 5K program" that Indigo Schuy and local gym Balance CH are hosting together.

Balance CH meanwhile, has incorporated a pop-up shop called 'Indigo Schuy @ Balance' into their space. Along with the cross-promotion, the two businesses promote local causes together.

"Partnering with Schuy is a no brainer as we both share the similar philosophies on delivering a great service/product in the health and fitness industry," said Amy Carolla, owner of Balance CH.

Indigo co-hosted a fundraiser with Balance in 2013 with all proceeds going to Chestnut Hill Meals on Wheels.

And it's not the first time Indigo Schuy has teamed up with local organizations.

Nunn has continued to build her 'community' of positive influences to bring together runners and causes she thinks are important.

There is a Medals4mettle medal collection box in the front of the store that gives local runners an opportunity to donate their medals from past race achievements to children at CHOP who are battling cancer.

Runners who go through sneakers often have the chance to utilize a 'Clothes-PIN' collection basket found in the front of the boutique to donate their gently-used sneakers to children and adults in Philadelphia.

Nunn has also hosted a member appreciation night for the Mt. Airy personal-training center Urban Athlete with the proceeds from event going towards Juvenile Diabetes.

Indigo Schuy is located at 8432 Germantown Ave. in Chestnut Hill.
