Pa. State Parole Officer Among Six Injured in Multi-Car Crash on Lincoln Drive

A serious multi-car crash closed the Lincoln Drive in Fairmount Park and landed six people in the hospital Tuesday afternoon.

Philadelphia police officials confirmed that a Pennsylvania State Parole Officer was among the injured.

The wreck at Henry Avenue Bridge around 12:30 p.m., left at least two people trapped in the wreckage, said Philadelphia Police.

Medics rushed five people, including three women, to area trauma centers.

Police closed the roadway in the section without lights and diverted northbound traffic at Gypsy Drive and southbound at Rittenhouse Street.

Witnesses told NBC10 that it appeared a sport utility lost control before being smashed into. [[363738691, C]]
