Authorities say a mechanic was killed when a floor jack gave way and dropped a limousine on him at a northern New Jersey business.
The death of the 70-year-old man, whose name was not released, appears to have been an accident. But an investigation is ongoing.
Elizabeth city spokeswoman Kelly Vence told The Star-Ledger that the mechanic was working under a stretch limousine on Saturday morning when the floor jack gave way for an unknown reason.
He was pronounced dead a short time later. No other injuries were reported in the incident.
