A horse found shot more than 100 times with paintballs in central Pennsylvania will soon have a new home with former "Daily Show" host Jon Stewart, according to a news report.
The report comes as the Rhode Island man who authorities say transported Lily the 'paintball pony' that was later found shot was found guilty of animal cruelty.
Phillip Price, 65, was ordered to pay fines and more than $10,000 in restitution for the horse's recovery costs.
The 20-year-old horse named Lily was found at the New Holland Sales Stables in March. Police said the horse was hit by about 130 paintballs at close range and needed surgery to remove its injured right eye.
It hasn't been determined how Lily received the paint markings.
Lily continues to recover at a facility in Kennett Square, but will soon move to an animal sanctuary in New Jersey owned by former "The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart and his wife, Lancasteronline.com reported, citing a statement from the Lancaster County SPCA.
According to the report, Lily has gained "several hundred pounds" since her treatment and has adapted to having one eye. She's set to make the move to New Jersey next week.
