Leader of Alleged Del. Heroin Organization Gets 25 Years

The leader of an alleged heroin distribution organization in Delaware has been sentenced to 25 years in prison, while six other suspected members got between one and 10-year sentences.

Thirty-five-year-old Irene Hollis of New Castle was sentenced to 25 years in prison Friday after she pleaded guilty to drug dealing, racketeering and conspiracy. Her brother, 29-year-old Aaron Hollis, got 10 years.

While Irene Hollis was an inmate at the Baylor Women's Correctional Institution in 2012, prosecutors say she arranged to smuggle oxycodone and heroin into the facility. Hollis was arrested again in June on drug and conspiracy charges.

Three other men suspected to be involved in the group were sentenced to between 18 months and six years in prison, while two women got between a year and 15 months.
