Lawmaker Robbed at Gunpoint Near Pa. Capitol: Police

Two men robbed three people, including Rep. Jaret Gibbons of Lawrence County, near the Capitol in Harrisburg, police say

Two men are facing charges after they allegedly robbed a state lawmaker and two others at gunpoint a couple blocks from the Capitol.

Police said Monday that the robbers took wallets, cell phones and other items from the men, including Rep. Jaret Gibbons of Lawrence County.

Gibbons says he, aide Kevin Bowser and Slippery Rock University student Charles Goodall were taking personal items from his car to his apartment around 12:30 a.m.

Gibbons says two men approached them near the South Street parking garage and ordered them to lay on the ground and empty their pockets. One pointed a silver revolver at Bowser's head before they drove off Goodall's car.

Charged were 23-year-old Michael Chavis and 41-year-old Donnie Dozier.
