Pennsylvania Man Killed in Wrong-Way Crash in Western Md.

A Pennsylvania man died after driving the wrong way on Interstate 70 and hitting a pickup truck head-on, said Maryland State Police.

Police said 50-year-old Larry Allen Martz was driving a Pontiac Bonneville westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-70 near Hancock, Md., Sunday night when he collided head-on with a Chevrolet Silverado.

Martz, of Mayport, Pa., was flown to Meritus Medical Center, where police say he was later pronounced dead.

The three people in the truck were treated on the scene and released.
