Car Slams Into Nail Salon, Woman Hurt

A car plowed into an area shopping center this morning leaving one woman hospitalized.

The crash did visible damage to the exterior of Modern Nails in the Lansdowne Plaza at the busy intersection of W Baltimore Avenue and N Lansdowne Avenue in Lansdowne, Delaware County, Pa.

The crash left a large hole in the corner of Modern Nails, which is at the end of the shopping plaza on the Lansdowne Avenue side. The gold sedan crashed in a large section of bricks.

A woman went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Lansdowne Police. It was unclear if the woman was in the car or the shop.

The full extent of damage to the building wasn’t clear.

The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.

The crash came just hours after another car careened into a building in the area. Overnight, a woman crashed into the Heritage Surf & Sport Shop in Margate, N.J.
