Kane Will Decide During Her Trial Whether to Testify

Pennsylvania's top prosecutor says she'll decide at her own criminal trial next month whether to testify in her own defense.

Attorney General Kathleen Kane said Friday she'll want to see the case being made against her by prosecutors before making the decision.

She's charged with unlawfully leaking secret grand jury information and then lying about her actions under oath.

The first-term Democrat told reporters Friday that she's confident she'll be found not guilty.

Kane's trial is set to start Aug. 8 in the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown.

She's not seeking a second term in the November election. The race pits Democrat Josh Shapiro, a Montgomery County commissioner, against Republican Sen. John Rafferty, also from Montgomery County.
