Kane's Troubles Could Hinder Hopes for 2nd Term

Pennsylvania's attorney general is waiting to hear what the Supreme Court will do about a grand jury that recommended she be charged in connection to the leak of grand jury material to a Philadelphia newspaper.

The result of that case could affect Democrat Kathleen Kane's plan to seek a second term as the state's top prosecutor next year.

One Republican thinking about running against her is Ron Castille, who retired from the bench after turning 70 last year.

Castille says Kane is in over her head as attorney general, but he's not sure if he'll take her on.

Former Gov. Ed Rendell, a Democrat, says that if Kane doesn't get charged he expects her to win the Democratic nomination for a second term and be a favorite to keep the job.
