“Jersey Shore” Cast Member Deena Cortese Arrested

Police chief Tommy Boyd tells NBC 4 New York that one of his officers arrested Deena Cortese after seeing her "a little intoxicated"

A cast member for the MTV reality show "Jersey Shore" was arrested in Seaside Heights Sunday afternoon on a disorderly conduct charge.

Police chief Tommy Boyd tells NBC 4 New York that one of his officers arrested Deena Cortese after seeing her "a little intoxicated."

The officer, patrolman Chris Linnel, allegedly spotted her in the middle of a street, slapping cars that were driving by.

"Nothing major, but we can't put up with it," Chief Boyd said.

He said she was taken to the Seaside Heights police station to be served a summons and then released.

The show only started shooting its newest season in the last week and has put Seaside Heights on the map over the past few years.

But Chief Boyd quickly added, "We don't treat the cast differently than anyone else."
