J.C. Penney's Burglarized

Delaware State Police detectives are investigating a jewelry heist at a J.C. Penney's department store in Wilmington.

On September 25 at about 4:45 a.m., a suspect broke through the glass door of the store and made his way to the jewelry department. He removed several pieces of jewelry from the display cases. The suspect then smashed through the back door and took off.

Detectives say that the suspect caused $5,000 in damage to the store.

The police are asking for the public's help in apprehending the suspect. They are asking anyone who has any information about the burglary to contact them at Troop 2 at 302-834-2630 at extension 211 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
