Investigation To Find Person Who Shot Goose With Arrow

The Pennsylvania Game Commission is looking for the person who shot a Canada goose through the chest with an arrow, an injury that eventually killed the animal.

The Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era says the injured bird was discovered Wednesday at Columbia River Park and was taken to Red Creek Wildlife Center in Schuylkill Haven.

The center's founder, wildlife rehabilitator Peggy Sue Hentz, said the bird died during surgery to remove the arrow.

Game commission spokesman Travis Lau said the shooting appeared to be unrelated to hunting. An investigation is underway.
