Philadelphia Police Special Victim's Unit and the District Attorney's office are investigating an alleged sexual assault inside a police K-9 vehicle.

At Tuesday night's police press conference on an unrelated case, Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey did respond when questioned about the alleged incident.

"It's an ongoing investigation. I learned of it two days ago. We do have a person identified possibly as being involved, but we don't know what took place," said Commissioner Ramsey, who added that Internal Affairs is also investigating.
