Identities Released in Deadly I-95 Crash

Police released the names of victims of a horrific crash that shut down the southbound lanes of I-95 in Claymont, Delaware Saturday.

50-year-old Lamont Felder and his passenger 47-year-old Lovell Collins were traveling in the northbound lanes when Felder lost control, crossed over into the southbound lanes and struck another car, according to Delaware State Police.

A preliminary investigation shows Felder was speeding.

Felder’s 1995 Ford Explorer struck a blue Mercury sedan killing the driver 72-year-old Anderson Davis. His passenger, 78-year-old Sallie Hunter, survived the crash. She is listed in critical condition at Christiana Hospital.

The accident happened near Marsh Road in Claymont, Del. around 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The southbound lanes were closed for more than five hours, reopening around 6:00 p.m.
