Investigators believe the same man is behind two attacks.

On May 21, a man threatened a woman with a knife at Broadway and Chestnut Street, forced her into a wooded area near 6th and Jackson and sexually assaulted her there.

There was a similar incident on July 26. A woman told police she was approached by a man at Broadway and Chelton Avenue, led at knife point to a wooded area nearby and raped.

Police tell NBC10 the man appears to target prostitutes.  They've released two sketches of the attacker, but believe it's the same person.

"He approaches women in a very friend manner initially, he's conversational, seems harmless and talks to them about possibly soliciting sex, getting high" says Jason Lauglin, a spokesman for the Camden County prosecutor's office. "But then as they're walking with him, he draws a knife and takes them to a wooded area and assaults them."

Police hit the streets with the sketches on Thursday, warning woman to be on the alert.
