A 30-year-old Pleasantville man was arrested earlier this week and charged with sexual assault and human trafficking for allegedly pushing an underage girl into prostitution.
On Friday Middle Township Police announced the arrest and charges against Brian Nixon.
Nixon was arrested Wednesday after an investigation uncovered allegations that he befriended a teenage girl, had a short-term sexual relationship with her and then recruited her to become a prostitute, police said.
Nixon is accused of transporting the girl from Middle Township to Atlantic City for the purpose of selling sex, according to authorities.
Police say that he has previous felony convictions in New Jersey.
Nixon is being held in Cape May County jail on $100,000 bail, police said.
