How to Prepare with a Smile for a Labor Day Hurricane, Cheltenham-Style

For those with some discretionary spending in Cheltenham, township emergency officials offered up an idea ahead of this weekend's possible Labor Day hurricane: Build an ark.

The township's emergency management office on Friday suggested, tongue-in cheek (or was it? Ok, it was), that everyone look at a website on the art of ark-building.

When asked by a commenter about the difference between regular storm evacuation routes and hurricane evacuation routes, the OEM admitted to the purposeful spoof.

"We do not have hurricane emergency routes.......just part of our lame attempt at humor."

It's the second time in two days that the township's OEM hammed it at Hurricane Hermine's expense. (FWIW: As of this writing -- 12:20 p.m. -- the weather system was downgraded to a tropical storm, but it could again become a hurricane.)
