Homemade Grenades Land Teen in Jail: Police

He was just one week away from graduating, but now Justin Rosen, 18, of West Chester has big problems on his hands.  Police arrested Rosen Monday for allegedly having explosive devices and homemade grenades, according to The Daily Local.

Police stopped Rosen, a senior at Chester County Intermediate Unit, and Kyle Castillion, 19, of West Chester in the early hours Monday.  The officer found a BB gun and a fused explosive device on Rosen, according to the paper.  He was arrested while Castillion escaped police.

Investigators got a warrant to search Rosen’s home at the Seven Oaks apartment complex on East Marshall Street, where they found another fused explosive device and suspected homemade grenades, the paper reported.

The complex’s north building was evacuated and the Montgomery County Bomb Squad was called in to secure the suspected bombs.

Rosen was charged with two counts of possession of weapons of mass destruction and two counts of prohibited weapons offenses.  Castillion turned himself in to police and was charged with escape, according to the paper.
