Two armed men broke into an elderly man’s Hunting Park home Monday morning, tied him up with duct tape, took electronics and cash and left him bound for hours without his medication, Philadelphia Police say.
The victim, Etolia Fox, suffers from diabetes.
The 74-year-old was tied up for about six hours before his wife came home and found him.
"I kept trying to get out but i couldn't get loose," Fox told NBC10's Katy Zachry.
Investigators say the men broke into a second story window around 10 a.m at the home on the 4700 block of N Marine Street. They threatened the victim with a gun and then used duct tape to bound his wrists, ankles and mouth, police said.
Fox, who had remnants of tape residue still on his body, says he was left helpless as the men ransacked his home.
"Just do what we tell you to do and we'll be out of here soon, so I did whatever they asked me to do."

The men grabbed a flat screen TV, a computer and money before fleeing the home, police said.
Before they left, Fox says that the men figured out that he is a diabetic.
"They saw my medicine, so they asked me if i was a diabetic and do I want some water, and was I alright."
Fox was lucky to be alright after being left without his medicine for six hours.
There is no description of the suspects at this time. Police are working to figure out if they targeted the home, maybe thinking no one would be home when they entered.
