Police are investigating a home invasion and robbery in Haverford Township.

Police are investigating a home invasion and robbery in Haverford Township.

On Thursday at 8:11 p.m., police responded to a home on the 600 block of Paddock Road. When they arrived, police say they were approached by the homeowners, a couple and their son. They told police they were in a second floor bedroom when they heard a crash at the front door.

The female victim told police she and her husband were met in the hallway by four to five men dressed in black clothing and ski masks. The woman claims the men demanded money and one pointed a semi-automatic handgun at her. She says she then went down on her knees and covered her eyes with her hands as one of the suspects duct taped them. One of the suspects then allegedly stole a small wallet with an undetermined amount of cash from her back pocket.

The male victim told police he went to another bedroom, shut the door and called 911. He then says he went downstairs to the kitchen, believing the suspects had left when one of the alleged suspects returned and pointed a gun at him, demanding money. After no money was found, the victim says the suspect left the house through the front door.

Witnesses at the scene told police the suspects drove away in a Gray 4-door vehicle but could not provide further description.
