Philadelphia School District Superintendent William Hite addressed issues facing his school district at a news conference Thursday morning.
Called Action Plan Version 3.1, the new directive will organize schools by neighborhood and expertise, offer job development activities and will secure funds that prioritize student needs, according to Hite.
All of this works toward the district's goals of getting students ready for college and careers and improving reading skills.
