A woman was jailed Monday on charges that she ran over her boyfriend during an argument then simply drove away.
Authorities in central Pennsylvania have charged Esther Brubaker, 36, in the hit-and-run death of her boyfriend who they say was run over at the end of his driveway.
The Mechanicsburg woman is charged in Cumberland County with homicide by vehicle and accidents involving death or injury, according to court records.
Silver Spring Township Police allege that she struck and killed 34-year-old Jeremy Anderson with her minivan outside their home and then drove off, leaving him there.
District Attorney Dave Freed said the victim had noticeable tire marks on his body when he was found at about 5:45 p.m. Monday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said neighbors reported hearing an argument before the crash. Brubaker remains in custody unable to post $1 million bail; court documents don't indicate whether she has an attorney.
Police say Anderson is the same man who made headlines earlier this year when video surfaced of him being Tasered by a Rehoboth Police officer.
In the video Anderson is shocked multiple times while being arrested for disorderly conduct and other charges. A review board later found that the force used to subdue Anderson was justified.
