Police are looking for a dark-colored Jeep Grand Cherokee in connection with a hit-and-run that left an elderly woman dead in Mt. Airy.
Investigators say the 85-year-old victim was walking home on Murdoch Street and Stenton Avenue just after 6 p.m. Thursday when she was hit by a dark green or black Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The woman was left for dead as the driver of the striking car fled the scene, according to police.
The victim was rushed to Einstein Medical Center where she was pronouced dead.
Police tell NBC10 that the Grand Cherokee had a Pa. license plate - hxx-4362.
