A local woman and man are being hailed as heroes after they rescued a mother and her baby from a burning vehicle.
Lower Merion Police say a woman and her 1-year-old baby were inside a vehicle that caught fire in Wynnewood Wednesday morning. Rachel Attebery of Philadelphia and Ryan Porto of Havertown were passing by and spotted them. They then jumped into action.
Porto managed to pull the mother out of the burning vehicle while Attebery rescued the child. Both the mom and baby are doing okay thanks to the two Good Samaritans.
After Lower Merion Police posted the story on their Facebook page it was shared over 160 times.
