Head and Bones of Dolphin Found on NJ Beach

The Marine Mammal Stranding Center says the discovery is a very unusual one.

The head and skeleton of a dolphin was discovered on a beach in New Jersey Wednesday morning.

The Marine Mammal Stranding Center (MMSC) says that the discovery of the head and bones on the 22nd Street beach in Longport is very unusual.

They believe that the dolphin was the victim of multiple shark attacks.

The MMSC is working to determine what kinds of sharks attacked the mammal.

We'll continue to update the story as details become available.
