A mother and her child died in a head-on crash with a truck yesterday.

State police say the woman and her 7-year-old daughter were killed and two other young children injured in a head-on collision with a truck on a western Pennsylvania road.

Police in Fayette County say the crash happened at about 8 a.m. Wednesday in Bullskin -- located about 40 miles southeast of Pittsburgh -- when the driver crossed the center line of Englishman Hill Road and collided with the truck.

Authorities said 26-year-old Angela Thomas of Connellsville, Pa. was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Jessie Camilli.

The Allegheny County coroner's office said Myah Worley was flown to Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh, where she was pronounced dead.

Two other children in Thomas' car, Zy, age 2 and Sidney, age 5, were taken for treatment at the same hospital, where their conditions weren't immediately available.

Thomas worked at an area McDonald’s. In a statement to WPXI in Pittsburgh, McDonald’s expressed sadness and gave condolences.

The driver of the thi-axle truck wasn’t hurt.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
