South Jersey Police bust an alleged cockfighting ring in Hamilton Township.
Investigators say dozens of roosters and animal carcasses were discovered on a home on the 7300 block of Smith Avenue Friday.
At least 42 roosters had to be euthanized. Three sick goats were rescued.
The SPCA says it’s uncovering more rings like this in the area.
No arrests were made but charges are expected to be filed Monday.
The SPCA is helping to relocate the remaining animals.
