Frankford Fire Work of Arsonist: Police

A fire Thursday morning in the Frankford section of Philadelphia, was the work of an arsonist, according to police. One man is in custody.

Investigators are calling an early morning fire in the Frankford section of the city Thursday, arson.

One person is in custody.

The fire broke out on the 1500 block of Foulkrod Street around 6:30 a.m.

It began on the bottom floor of a rowhome and quickly spread.

The fire was placed under control about 30 minutes later.

Police say there are reports of gunfire before the fire started and they are questioning a man who may be connected to the shooting or the arson, or possibly both.
