“Don't Say a Word,” Gunmen Threaten Babysitter Inside Philly Apartment: Police

Gunmen broke into a Philadelphia apartment and threatened a babysitter inside, police said.

Police were called to the 1300 block of Sellers Street at 3:33 a.m. Sunday for a report of a robbery. When they arrived they were met by a 52-year-old woman who told them she was babysitting inside her son's second floor apartment when she suddenly heard a man say, “Don’t move and don’t say a word.”

The woman then saw two masked men holding guns, according to police. The men searched through the bedroom closets and then fled the apartment without taking anything, investigators said.

The woman told police she was unsure how the men got inside.

Police have not released a physical description of the two suspects but say they were both wearing hooded sweatshirts and face masks and were armed with handguns.
