Delaware State Police are looking for a man who robbed a Newark convenience store at gunpoint.
The agency said in a news release that on Sunday night, a man with a handgun approached the counter of a 7-Eleven on East Chestnut Hill Road. Troopers say the robber demanded money from the registers, and a clerk gave him an undetermined amount of cash.
Police say as the gunman ran away, a customer in the store chased him, but stopped when the suspect pointed the gun at him. The suspect fled east of the Agusta Shopping Center.
The suspect is described as a white male, about 6'02" tall, 220-230 pounds and had his face covered. No further physical or clothing description is available.
