A hail of bullets struck homes and claimed the life of a male in Pleasantville.
The shooting occurred around 10 p.m. Monday in the area of Woodland Avenue and Hendricks Street.
Police tell The Press of Atlantic City the victim, who was not a resident of the area, was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office is investigating, and no suspect information is available at this time.
The victim's name is being withheld until relatives are notified.
