Groom Breaks Down During Wedding Surprise

Brandon McCray was ready to marry his longtime girlfriend, but there was one thing missing for his big day. His mother, 59-year old Mary O’Neill, would not be able to attend. Her spinal scoliosis is so severe it prevents her from even leaving her bed.

Her lifelong dream, she said days before the wedding, was to see her son walk down the aisle.

McCray decided to have his special day filmed — it would be the closest his mother would get to experience this day with him. The groom hired Fred Tamarri of Your Day Productions.

What Brandon didn't know was that his friends and fiancée had raised over $1200 to bring his mother to the wedding, by ambulance.

The ceremony was to start at 5:30 p.m. but the ambulance team was running late.

“In order to distract me, the photographer and the videographer took me to the back of the venue and just started taking pictures of me and my brother. I thought it was part of the process,” said Brandon.

Wait for it ...

Brandon's groomsmen were bringing his mother in through the front entrance of the venue.

Although he'd just told Tamarri he wasn't a very emotional guy, the moment he walked out and saw his mom, he broke down. And so did a few others.

"In my 16 years of shooting weddings, this was the most emotional scene I’ve ever witnessed," said Tamarri. "I was also moved to tears.”

Brandon’s mother was able to enjoy the entire wedding ceremony and even gave a speech during the reception. The wedding video went viral after Tamarri posted it on his company's Facebook page.

"The experience was just overwhelming. I saw it as a total miracle,” Brandon said, “If anything were to happen to her I know my mom can now rest easy because this was a dream of hers.”
