2 NJ Men Shot at While Reporting Robbery

The good Samaritans were reporting a possible robbery in Atlantic City

Two good Samaritans escaped unharmed when they were shot at while calling Atlantic City police to report a possible armed robbery.

Authorities say the pair (a 40-year-old Brick man and his 67-year-old father) had just left the city's Convention Center and were walking to their car Saturday night when they saw a man with a handgun push another man into an alley.

While on the phone with a police dispatcher, they saw two other men walk by the alley. Those men then reportedly opened fire on the good Samaritans, who were sitting in their car.

The vehicle and windshield were struck by bullets, but the two men were not hit. They then ran from the area, and the suspects could not be located when police arrived.
