2 New Jersey State Troopers Rush Into Burning Home, Save Woman: Police

The New Jersey state police say that two off-duty troopers rushed into a burning home to save a woman while on their way home from work.

Police say that Troopers Adam Gonzalez and Justin Storie ran into the house in Mount Olive Township around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The troopers encountered heavy, black smoke when they ran in the front door and were able to rescue 51-year-old Josephine Maulback.

They were treated at Morristown Memorial Hospital for smoke inhalation and minor cuts and abrasions, while Maulback was listed in stable condition at Hackensack Hospital.

Gonzalez and Storie are stationed at Troop "B" Netcong Station.
