Someone shot a girl in the face Thursday night in Camden, N.J.

The girl was shot around 9:30 p.m. inside a home on the 1300 block of Thurman Street, Camden Police said.

Prosecutors say the girl survived the shooting. She was taken to Cooper University Hospital -- police didn't release her condition.

An unidentified man was also shot nearby at Thorn and Chase Streets. He was also taken to Cooper and his condition wasn’t released.

Police didn’t say if the two shootings were connected.

An investigation into what led to the shootings was underway and authorities said they would update the case Friday morning.
