A young girl has been found and her father is in custody after he allegedly abducted her.

Officials say Kyleigh Simcsuk, 4, was abducted from a home on Delaware Avenue in Palmerton, Pennsylvania around 6:30 p.m. by her father, 25-year-old Timothy Simcsuk.

Police say Simcsuk abducted the girl after assaulting the child’s caregiver. He then allegedly fled with the girl in a dark green minivan.

Shortly before 11 p.m. police told NBC10 that Simcsuk and his daughter were both found near Quakertown.

The girl was not harmed. Timothy Simcsuk was arrested and taken into custody. Police have not yet revealed the specific charges against him.
