Gingrich Campaigns in Delaware

The former Speaker of the House says he would stay in the race until the convention

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich is returning to campaign in Delaware.

Gingrich will visit a Newark senior center Wednesday morning and host a town hall on social security at Wesley College on Wednesday night. The visit comes one day after competitor former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum dropped out of the race and two weeks before the state's April 24 primary.

At campaign stops in Delaware last week, Gingrich vowed to continue campaigning until the GOP national convention to ensure the party platform reflects what he called "a 21st Century conservatism."

The former speaker of the House of Representatives acknowledged over the weekend that rival Mitt Romney is "far and away the most likely" nominee, but reiterated Tuesday that he would stay in the race until the convention.
