Motorists Seeing Slightly Lower Prices at Pumps in New Jersey

Motorists are seeing slightly lower prices at the pumps in New Jersey.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in the state on Friday was $1.96, down a penny from last week. But that's much lower than the price from a year ago, when motorists were paying $2.71.

The price drop marks the second straight week where pump prices have fallen in New Jersey.

The national average price on Friday was $2.05, down 5 cents from last week. But that's much lower than the national average from a year ago, when motorists were paying $2.80.

Analysts say prices will likely fall or stay stable in the coming weeks, noting that demand for gas normally declines this time of year.
