Gas Leak Forces Evacuations at Philly International Airport

A gas valve leak forced evacuations at a few gates at the Philadelphia International Airport Sunday.

Four gates were evacuated at Terminal A West shortly after 7 p.m. including employees in a gift shop. Authorities say the leak came from an overhead door heater.

PGW crews were called to the scene after reports of a strong odor. The valve was shut off and the area deemed safe. No injuries were reported

The leak did not affect airport operations, according to officials.
