Gas service has been fully restored to about a 1,000 customers in eastern Pennsylvania who lost heat during a brutal cold spell.
UGI says it had to shut off service to the homes in Coplay and North Whitehall on Wednesday after a problem led to low gas pressure in the system. That problem was repaired, but the utility said gas and heat could only be restored by visiting each individual house, which took about 30 hours.
WFMZ-TV reports service has now been restored.
